Joe Saunders took a perfect game into the sixth inning, and the Birds toppled Toronto 4-0 on Monday afternoon at Rogers Centre.
Saunders (1-1 as an Oriole) went 6 1/3 scoreless innings, allowing just three hits (all singles) and two walks while fanning two. The 'pen held the Jays hitless over the final 2 2/3 frames...
Of the O's nine hits, three went for doubles...J.J. Hardy led the team with two RBIs.
After three straight day games, the Birds battle the Jays on Tuesday night. Zach Britton is scheduled to take the hill.
