The Orioles won yet another one-run ballgame with a 4-3 victory over Chicago on Monday night at Camden Yards.
The O's took an early 1-0 lead on Lew Ford's first homer of the season. Chicago took the lead in the sixth and again in the eighth before Nate McClouth stepped to the plate in the bottom of the frame. Mark Reynolds had just worked his third walk of the game before McClouth crushed his second homer of the year.
The Birds set a new franchise record as they have now won 13 straight one-run games, and tied a season high as the went 13 games over .500. The O's (70-57) are now just 3 1/2 games behind the Yankees in the East and are tied with Oakland for the Wild Card lead. Chris Tillman takes the mound Tuesday night.
