The Orioles had to settle for taking 2-of-3 against Toronto after falling 9-2 on Sunday afternoon.
It wasn't as bad as it looked...the Birds were right in this one and took a 2-1 lead into the bottom of the sixth. Brian Matusz turned in a pretty good outing but left after 6 2/3 innings and Toronto leading 3-2. Kevin Gregg came on with two on and two outs...that's when things got ugly. Gregg allowed three hits and two walks, hitting a batter with the bases loaded, and Toronto scored seven times in the sixth to put the game out of reach.
The Birds now head to Chicago for a three-game set; Jake Arrieta takes the mound Monday night.
